Paperback Memoir serves as an intimate visual diary that reimagines the traditional literary format through a purely photographic lens. Drawing exclusively from the artist’s personal archive compiled throughout 2023, the project deliberately assumes the unassuming, tactile form of a standard paperback novel. By replacing the written word with sequenced imagery, the work challenges the boundaries of conventional autobiography. It invites the audience into a deeply personal narrative space where memories are not chronicled through prose, but rather presented as a carefully edited collection of evocative visual fragments.

Central to the project is a conceptual play on the cognitive act of "reading" an image. By adopting the pacing, scale, and intimate physical familiarity of mass-market literature, the book dictates a specific, reflective rhythm of engagement. The viewer is prompted to navigate the visual sequences much like turning the pages of a novel, deciphering the syntax of light, shadow, and subject matter to construct meaning. This subversion of the literary format elevates an everyday archive into a structured visual language, requiring the audience to actively read the photographs as a continuous, compelling memoir of a single year.
