This body of work investigates the aesthetic latency of technical schematics through large-scale paintings sourced from mechanical repair manuals. By executing micro-photographic extractions of these diagrams—frequently isolating fragments merely a centimeter in width—the imagery is projected and monumentalized onto a substrate of corrugated cardboard. The forms are subsequently rendered in black acrylic via a meticulous stippling technique, deliberately simulating the ink bleed and mechanical degradation inherent to commercial offset printing.

Through this radical shift in scale and the isolation of utilitarian line work, these strictly functional topographies are transfigured into pure abstraction. Liberated from their didactic context, the diagrams are stripped of their instructional utility; expanded beyond immediate legibility, they function as autonomous visual propositions. Ultimately, the series serves as a critical inquiry into recontextualization, material translation, and the prevailing tension between industrial mass reproduction and the idiosyncratic nature of painterly gesture.
